Welcome to the Halton Hills Tennis Club!

HHTC is dedicated to providing enjoyment, physical activity and a sense of community - using the beautiful sport of tennis as our vehicle.  As time goes by, we are encouraged to find the club becoming increasingly diverse in its membership.  Although we do our best as a club to foster this trend, diversity in tennis participation is natural in that this is a sport that promotes:

  • Life-long activity (we have members from 5 years to 80 years old playing actively)
  • Development of social interaction through communication before, during and after matches, lessons and practices
  • Both anaerobic and aerobic fitness levels all while enjoying the challenge of trying to master the core skills needed to play the game effectively
  • Improved dynamic balance, total body coordination and motor control
  • So many of the life skills our younger players will need in the future including teamwork, work ethic, discipline, problem solving, etc.
  • Safety.  Tennis has been regularly found to be one of the safest sports to participate in, with injury rates in studies a fraction of those in most other sports.  Just a couple of reasons for this include using a softer ball and having no direct person to person physical contact associated with many other activities

With the above as just a few of the reasons to learn and enjoy the great game of tennis, it’s no wonder we see more and more interest from the community as time passes.  Whether you are a returning member or taking the exciting step of trying tennis for the first time – we welcome all of you with open arms to come and enjoy tennis at HHTC this season.
